The producing team of Daniel Alter and Adrien Askarieh who put together the Hitman adaptation and turned it into a $100M hit are looking to bring the Eidos Entertainment videogame “Kane and Lynch: Dead Men” to the big screen as well (currently with the title Kane and Lynch).
Variety is reporting that they may have just scored their first coup by convincing Bruce Willis to take on the role of Adam “Kane” Marcus, a mercenary who makes an unlikely alliance with a schizophrenic killer named James Lynch. The duo is forced to go on a mission to retrieve a stolen microchip.
The videogame has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide since its launch in November, 2007. Kyle Ward wrote the screenplay adaptation of the game’s story.
If Willis comes on board as expected, the filmmakers will just need to find an actor to play Lynch in order to get shooting underway by the end of the year as they hope.
Askarieh and Alter are also developing Jonny Quest at Warner Bros., Hack/Slash at Rogue, and Spy-Hunter for Universal.”
Wow, so we have the comic book/graphic novel to movie frenzy, and now video games seem to be the next medium to go to the big screen.
I was just thinking the same thing. Guess I better get my v-game on. Geez – I am thinking I am beginning to hit the saturation point…

I’ve never heard of this video game. BUT if Willis is in it, I’ll buy a ticket.
