Oh man, the Chariots of Fire theme made that priceless – that was very funny even though it didn’t really show anything about the movie. If nothing else, I’m intrigued.

Huh. I haven’t liked a Jennifer Aniston movie in quite a while. Looks like that’s going to change.

The book was great, though I suggest Mike not read it for a couple of months.

Why shouldn’t I read it Richard?

Grogan and his wife had a few tough pregnancies before they were successful. Grogan goes pretty deep into the heartache and pain they suffered.

    It’s just a timing issue.

Ah, I see…thanks for the heads up.

In the middle of reading City of Ember right now, and then another novel next, so not sure I have the time anyways.

Of course, your graphic novel review coming out soon will likely give me ANOTHER thing to read too :)

And speaking of Aniston, the last real good movie she did was The Good Girl, although I actually liked The Break-Up.

  7. Richard

I liked The Good Girl and TheWife and I were mildly entertained by Along Came Polly. The latter just because we like Hank Azaria, though.

The Break-Up was pretty funny with Vaughn. You didn’t like her in Office Space? She was pretty good in that although she didn’t have a ton of screen time.

Yeah – she was the girlfriend.

Well, I would have mentioned Office Space, but that was like three years before the other two.

That is her best movie by far, even if she wasn’t in it much :)

  12. The Trousered Ape

@ Mike – and maybe that is the key.

  13. The Trousered Ape

Actually – maybe that is the idea. Aniston does better work the less screen time she has. Therefore, her best, Oscar performance worthy work are those movies where she is not in them at all.

So, given that, I would say her best work to date was E.T.

She was good in E.T., but I really thought she shined in The Godfather.

Is that the one where she played the horses head or the flower arrangement?

Yeah – I’m gonna have to disagree then, I thought the performance was a little wilted…

I think that’s what made me like Band of Brothers so much…the lack of Jennifer.

  19. The Trousered Ape

LOL – She should of won an Emmy for that.

I think she was nominated for an Oscar in the category, “Best Job of Not Appearing in a Film”…

Too bad she lost to Halle Berry.
