I hadn’t heard about Marley and Me until today when the first teaser for the film starting making the rounds.
And I’m happier just for seeing it.
It stars Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston and a very cute little dog. The story is based off the memoirs of John Grogan and revolves around a family that learns lessons about life from their adorable, but naughty and neurotic dog.
The original book by Grogan is called Marley and Me: Life and Love with the World’s Worst Dog.
The movie opens on Christmas Day, but watch the teaeser now. I guarantee you will have a smile on your face afterwards.
Unless of course you are a cat person, in which case, you can just skip it now.
Oh man, the Chariots of Fire theme made that priceless – that was very funny even though it didn’t really show anything about the movie. If nothing else, I’m intrigued.

Huh. I haven’t liked a Jennifer Aniston movie in quite a while. Looks like that’s going to change.
The book was great, though I suggest Mike not read it for a couple of months.

Why shouldn’t I read it Richard?
Grogan and his wife had a few tough pregnancies before they were successful. Grogan goes pretty deep into the heartache and pain they suffered.
It’s just a timing issue.

Ah, I see…thanks for the heads up.
In the middle of reading City of Ember right now, and then another novel next, so not sure I have the time anyways.
Of course, your graphic novel review coming out soon will likely give me ANOTHER thing to read too
And speaking of Aniston, the last real good movie she did was The Good Girl, although I actually liked The Break-Up.
I liked The Good Girl and TheWife and I were mildly entertained by Along Came Polly. The latter just because we like Hank Azaria, though.

The Break-Up was pretty funny with Vaughn. You didn’t like her in Office Space? She was pretty good in that although she didn’t have a ton of screen time.

Duh!!! Office Space! Man, can’t believe I forgot she was in that.
Richards last blog post..I remember everything
Yeah – she was the girlfriend.
“She gets around, like a record…”

Well, I would have mentioned Office Space, but that was like three years before the other two.
That is her best movie by far, even if she wasn’t in it much
@ Mike – and maybe that is the key.

Actually – maybe that is the idea. Aniston does better work the less screen time she has. Therefore, her best, Oscar performance worthy work are those movies where she is not in them at all.
So, given that, I would say her best work to date was E.T.

She was good in E.T., but I really thought she shined in The Godfather.
Richards last blog post..I remember everything
Is that the one where she played the horses head or the flower arrangement?

A lovely bowl of begonias.

Yeah – I’m gonna have to disagree then, I thought the performance was a little wilted…

I think that’s what made me like Band of Brothers so much…the lack of Jennifer.
LOL – She should of won an Emmy for that.

I think she was nominated for an Oscar in the category, “Best Job of Not Appearing in a Film”…
Too bad she lost to Halle Berry.
Funny, but not too nice.
i loved this book but it made me cry too so be prepared if you are a dog lover. can’t wait to see the movie. although i’ll have to wait until i’m allowed out of the house!

Trust me Nicky, I got all misty-eyed just watching this stupid trailer…
I don’t like dog stories, I always bawl…have since I was a kid.
My Dog Skip almost had me.
And I’m a cat person.
