Back in March when Jericho was nearing it’s end, we wrote a bit about the fact that the producers of the show filmed two different endings in case the series wasn’t canceled.
Sadly, we all got to watch the one that gave us a nice conclusion. It wasn’t something we wanted to see, but with the series likely over, they chose to go with that one.
Well, now the alternate, second ending to season 2 is out on YouTube and definitely worth a watch. The video leaves the obvious possibility of a major U.S. Civil War and the rescue of Hawkins.
Who knows, maybe we’ll still get to see that story someday.
This ending would have been good, but I would have missed the Texas Air National Guard blowing those other planes out of the sky.
This ending is truly awesome. But I really liked the shout out to all of the fans about Making History in the finale that was shown. But I would have gladly given that up to keep the series!!! We will get our season 3 yet though!!!!!!
I hope soo Rangerette! Thanks for stopping by
That was a pretty good scene…had a lot more excitement than the one we saw.
I believe the clip only includes additional material. I think the dog fight is still there. There is no way they went to that expense to only use it if the series was cancelled.
Ah, good point Debby…there were a lot of cuts, so obviously they must have still had that.
Like Debby, I think the dog fight would still be in the episode. I did like the “making history” dialogue between Jake and Hawkins, but I also think that if the story continued, we would have heard this same conversation when Jake and Chavez rescued Hawkins.
The dvd for the second season is coming out next tuesday but I still never saw one commercial for it and I doubt I even will. I'll bet there will be one commercial of it that's like 6 seconds long where the guy talks 150mph and then it's suddenly over.
Yeah, it makes sense that the dogfight could easily have been kept (assuming they had time for it) since it wouldn't have changed anything.
