A funny thing is starting to happen with the upcoming summer blockbuster, The Incredible Hulk.
I think I’m more excited about the cameos by OTHER superheroes than I am about seeing the Hulk himself!
Okay, maybe not completey, but seriously…the hype surrounding this movie in regards to special appearances and what it will mean for future Avenger films is staggering. We told you guys about the shield in Iron Man, and then the possibility of Tony Stark in The Incredible Hulk.
Now, in an interview in G4 recently, director Louis Leterrier had this little tidbit:
“As a filmmaker and as a fan, I like to go see movies and watch them several times, … and every time I see it, discover little things in the background. Did you know that in Iron Man, Captain America’s shield can be found somewhere? Well in Hulk you might see Captain America Himself!”
The only reason that this appearance might still be in question, is that no current review of the movie mentions it at all. Which leads some people to think that perhaps it was a scene held out of the screenings and instead saved for the actual theatrical release.
I hope it’s there on Friday!
I really like that they are trying to keep this entire mythos intact by weaving everyone through them. It's a good idea. Hopefully the can keep the production/acting/directing/writing level consistent through all of them as well. I think that might be a pretty big obstacle.
Yeah…I think it's amazing that they are organized enough to even do stuff like Tony Stark and Captain America appearing in movies like this. I mean, Captain America wont be out until 2011 I think?
I totally dig you guys have Hero info… I cant get enough! from one Cap to the next, it would be interesting if they have a Cap America in the Hulk, means they already have him cast or you see the back side of him or something… should be interesting
Yeah, I was curious about that too…it's gotta be a scene with him without any indication on who is playing the character, because no one has been cast I thought.
Personally, I'm more excited with the cameo appearances, it's not everyday we see such cameos of characters from the same “multiverse”. You know, it's fun to see how these affects the independent shows of these characters.
And yah, I saw the shield of C. America in Iron Man. But I thought it was just a spoof, so it was C.A.'s after all.
Is this out yet?! How about now?!?! Now???
