Sweet! I like Vin – think he is a pretty good actor. I've followed him and have seen everything he's done, even before most people knew who he was. He did this 10 minute short called Multi-Racial that was brilliant – I still own it and watch it every once in awhile. That was the film that got Spielberg to place a call to Vin and to write a part specially for him in Saving Private Ryan while it was in the process of shooting. Spielberg also let Vin shadow him during that movie and do some camera work because he was impressed with his talent.

Unfortunately for Vin, he has sort of pigeon-holed himself into an action/sci-fi guy when he is capable of doing some more serious, dramatic work. Also, I think that he has taken too much time off between films pursuing other passions within film (more off-camera pursuits). Hopefully this will help to re-launch his on-screen career and he can maybe work his way into other genres.

Nice Ape…good write-up. I agree with the pigeon-holed thing, and yeah, sometimes you forget he was in Saving Private Ryan.

The movie does look cool…sci-fi thriller, right up my alley.

The trailer looks really good, Chronicles of Riddick was really good, and probably underrated. In fact, we all know the Furion would have won the BA tourny hands down if he was included on list. I'll see this one for sure!

I liked Riddick, but Pitch Black will always be my favorite Vin Diesel movie…I just loved the uniqueness of it.

The Pacifier was pretty dramatic and showed his more emotional and caring side. ;)

  6. The Trousered Ape

I liked all those movies and the entire mythos that Vin helped shape. I really enjoyed them. I still remember watching Pitch Black in the theater and everything when totally black during a particular part of the movie and all you heard was those creatures moving around and couldn't see anything at all. Crazy!

Wow… I had no idea there was this much Vin love out there.

Gotta love Vin! I hadn't heard anything about this movie… Last I knew he was filming his pet project, “Hannibal.” (the general, not the cannibal.)

You'll have to check out the trailer tonight when you get home – it's very cool.

Yeah, this definitely looks cooler than the early buzz would have had us believe. I'm not sure why people were dogging it over the last couple of months. It looks pretty sweet.

I am very happy to see this trailer finally! I have been reading about Babylon A.D. for a while now. I am a Vin fan from Pitch Black, Chronicles (My favorite and yes severely underrated Vin movie), Tipple X, and the Pacifier (which is Vin's “Kindergarten Cop” IMO). Babylon looks exciting and I am looking forward to seeing it.
