I’d never heard of Shirley Manson until Tuesday afternoon, which is not really a surprise. When it comes to bands and music, my ability to remember names, lyrics and song titles is practically non-existent.
Manson is the lead singer of Garbage and a musician from Scotland.
She’s also a new character on one of my favorite shows, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. A picture has emerged with her sitting in an office chair behind an aquarium. Click on it for a larger version.
Mason will be playing Catherine Weaver, the CEO of Cyberdyne Systems and is supposed to be a series regular. Sounds like an important part to me, and from the looks of the photo, I would venture a wild guess she may not be entirely human?
Other than a movie she’s currently filming, according to IMDB, called ItW, this will be her only other credit as an actress.

I know, you are a busy guy and probably have a ton to do – no big deal. But I had mentioned her before in one of my comments regarding the Sarah Conner show – that this would be the only reason I try to watch the coming up season is because Shirley will be in it. I hope she can act!

Well, looks like I'm gonna have to start watching this show. Shirley Manson has a grab-you-by-the-throat, demands-to-be reckoned-with intense personality when she is performing live in concert… I will be interested to see how she is as an actress.

I watched all movies (11) and all of it sucks.
And as I’ve heard Garbage will release a new record in the beginning of 2011!
