    No way that's real!

If it is, it's clearly on purpose. But I'm too lazy to look around for the original Batman trailer to see if that's what it really looked like.

  2. Cap'n Schwartz

This movie opens on a great date!! (the Capn's birfday), and what better way to open then shameless stealing scenes from another movie…unless it was photoshooped…. yeah it was definitley stolen…. by photoshop…for sure.

  3. Mike Olbinski

I don't think anyone is saying the TRAILERS match up, it's just that there are scenes from the original movie t hat match up with the new one.

And the scene in the street, with the Joker and the gun…well, hard to dispute that :)

  4. Mike Olbinski

Nothing was photoshopped, it was just the “original” Batman trailer was spliced together.

  5. The Trousered Ape

Well – let's think about this. The first movie was about Batman and so is the current movie. In the first movie the main protagonist is the Joker and that is also the same in the current movie. Both are based on the same story…weird that the trailers would be so much alike – who would of thought that could ever happen…

Nothing can damper my excitement for this movie… the trailer for Dark Knight looks so freaking cool!

  7. Jason A Clark

Yeah, they make it look like that's the trailer for Batman, but I don't think it is. I think it's just spliced together scenes that correspond to the scenes in the actual trailer for The Dark Knight. Did that make sense?

All I know is Claire better let me go to the movie theater in July or she is going to be grounded for a long time when she finally gets here! Maybe you can secretly video tape it for me so I can watch it at home? :)

  9. adamczar

Oh, well I was more impressed/surprised at how the trailers lined up.

  10. adamczar

That makes sense. I thought that was the actual trailer for the 1989 movie!

  11. The Kid and I

I'm with you Ape. Of course they're going to have similar scenes. The cards, Joker standing in the street. Plus how can they not have Batman smashing through a glass ceiling, explosions and fancy dinner parties. Those are a part of all superhero movies. :)

  12. Cap'n Schwartz

But I thought you were with Jason..?!? I'm confused now if you are with Ape….

  13. Mike Olbinski

That's called pirating Nicky and we don't promote that here :)

Don't worry, we'll get you to that theater somehow :)

  14. The Kid and I

Jason is my baby daddy, but there will always be a place in my heart for the clothed primate. :)

    Similar, but not entirely

    The 1989 Trailer sucks
    haha

this is just a really talented editor who found scenes that match up to those from the trailer. It's not a rip-off though. The shots aren't in the same angle or sometimes even of the same subject matter. No one should take away from the genius that is Chris Nolan
