I am seriously going to have to buy this thing or hope Direct TV gets it On Demand, because Batman: Gotham Knight is starting to look very, very cool.
I’m not too knowledgeable about things like animation and anime, but this Batman interpretation being drawn in a Japanese anime style seems very unique and different than anything done before.
Underwire posted some new photos (which are below) plus some more information on what we can expect from this straight-to-DVD/Blu-Ray/On Demand movie:
- Kevin Conroy is the voice of Batman throughout, which he’s been over the last few decades in all kinds of other interpretations.
- The movie consists of six different stories, but should be taken as a whole. Yet the design of each is different, which should be awesome.
- One of the stories, done by History of Violence screenwriter Josh Olson, will be done Memento-style. Sweet!
This is the “Sizzle Reel” below which I found on the official Gotham Knight website, and it gives us a lot of information about the movie itself, the animation and what we can expect. It’s not too long of a video.
The photos are right after.

I liked the short video clips as opposed to the stills. Might be interesting to see other culture's take on the Batman mythology.
So very glad Kevin is doing the voice over, he IS batman….
I thought Adam West was Batman.
No, he's the Mayor on Family Guy….
Interesting…
of course its intersting, although a bit silly when he dated Meg!
In the fourth picture Batman looks like a hunting dog who's just spotted his prey.
Yeah, but I like the fourth one…
All of them are cool I think, can't wait to see this.
Looks like a winner.
