"Burn After Reading" poster released

The first poster for Burn After Reading is absolutely awesome.

Posted exclusively on Cinematical, I found it on First Showing where they tell us that the artwork for this poster is based off that of Saul Bass, who designed legendary posters for movies like Vertigo, West Side Story, North By Northwest and more. You can see some of those old posters over on First Showing.

I mean, what can you say about it? It’s retro, cool, unique and intriguing. It’s one of the better posters I’ve seen this year.

    Totally agree Mike – the poster is cool and retro – I love it. The Coen's definitely have a sense of style and class about them and this poster looks perfect for the movie.

    You can definitely see Bass' influence on the artwork. It's really cool. I thought of the “Vertigo” and “West Side Story” posters as soon as I saw this one.

    Jason Bateman's favorite actor is “the Russian”. I have enjoyed all the Coen bros movies with the exception of Miller's Crossing, but saw that when I was expecting Scarface or something.
