WHOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! Thank you for Bale news. I would love to see him in this, in tights, being a pompous but endearing Robin Hood. PLEASE let it be true!!

  2. The Trousered Ape

That would be a brilliant casting decision right there. He would definitely do a much better job than Kevin Costner.

I love the difference between Ape's comment about the casting decision and Nicky's immediate excitement for seeing Christian Bale in tights. This news appeals to all people :)

  4. The Trousered Ape

Yep – Bale has broad appeal (pun intended…)

    That works on multiple levels!

oh babe. i'd like to see you dressed as robin hood too…just not with that mullet wig please! :)

  6. Mike Olbinski

    ROTFL!

Anyone could probably do a better job :0

  7. Mike Olbinski

That's what we strive for here at PC :)

This is a nice casting for sure, but dang, I wonder if other actors in Hollywood are getting jealous of Bale considering every good role lands on his plate.

    Bruce Wayne, John Connor…Robin Hood.

    Watch him play Captain America…

  9. Jason A Clark

If he got Captain America…well, let's just say we would know for certain that he has the best agent in the world…not that he doesn't already.

  10. The Kid and I

I loved Kevin Costner as Robin Hood. His English accent was SPOT ON! :)

  11. The Kid and I

    LOL!

  12. Jason A Clark

Is there ANYTHING Kevin Costner CAN'T do?

  13. The Kid and I

If there is, I haven't seen it. :)

  14. The Trousered Ape

Kevin Costner can barely play Kevin Costner, much less anything else.

  15. Jason A Clark

Kevin Costner plays a mean Dan Costner (his brother).

  16. The Trousered Ape

virtual point to you – that was funny.

  17. Robin Hood

Looks like Bale’s not in this version of Robin Hood after all. Russell Crowe’s playing Robin, not the Sheriff, too.

One day they’ll get somebody with an actual English accent to play Robin in a film!

It looks like a decent cast, though, with Cate Blanchett as Maid Marion, William Hurt and Vanessa Redgrave.
