I’m not sure how many of you like Coldplay, but I love them. Give me a round of The Killers, Snow Patrol and Coldplay and that’s an ideal set of music for me.
Well, Coldplay has a new album hitting shelves on June 17th called Viva la Vida (or Death and all his Friends). Unless you haven’t been watching TV lately, you undoubtedly have seen their new music video of the song Viva la Vida on an iTunes commercial.
Yeah, it’s a commercial, but I really love it. Not sure what it is about it…probably the song, the spacey looking effects, but I usually stop and watch every time it’s on.
In case you missed it, the video is below for you to enjoy (and me to check out one more time). The song is interesting to say the least, especially the lyrics. The title means “Live a long life” and it’s supposedly based on the French Revolution and Napoleon looking back on his life with regret.
The CD is available for pre-order, which I’ll likely end up doing. Yeah, yeah, why not just download it on iTunes??? I LIKE CD’s!
Coldplay is a awesome band – love their stuff and can’t wait for this album.

I give it another week before you want to gauge your eyes out every time the commercial comes on… iTunes commercials have a way of killing a song with over-exposure.

ive never really liked coldplay, especially after hearing that annoying song ‘clocks’ 5x a day+ on the radio. i do, however, like their new song from that commercial. yes, im surprised and timid to admit such a thing @_@

is that the band that sings the apologize song? i think they did it at church before service a couple weeks ago mike. it’s overplayed on the radio already too!
Yeah, Nicky, they do “Apologize,” but there’s several other really good songs on the disc that’re a lot like Coldplay, Snow Patrol, and/or Maroon 5.
