its my understanding that DirectV's equipment is the worst to get to work for this, that you should use another box to get this to work seemlessly… which do you have theirs or someone elses?

  2. Mike Olbinski

I have their HR21…and have no problems at all.

  3. Cap'n Schwartz

I thought aside from their regular box you had to have a InDemand box…

  4. Mike Olbinski

    Nope

  5. The Trousered Ape

Hmm – ok, so somebody might need to go 101 on me…I don't get it – what is this supposed to do?

  6. Cap'n Schwartz

Hmmmm…. and you are referencing that WHOOOOOLE LARGE USLESS monotenous list of indemand crap you can dl to your dvr right? A friend of mine has a separate indemand box in addition to the dvr, the HR21 didnt just do it…

Its like a menu of tv shows and movies you pick from. its like pay perview but no addtl pay, and its a library of movies or show you choose, they then download to your dvr and you watch them when its done…

Too many words – where are the pictures? Don't they have this in graphic novel format?

  10. Cap'n Schwartz

they had a picture of a guy giving the middle finger to cable, but they pulled the picture and diagram of it…

  11. Dadofiandi

Gotta try that, my pS3 is hardwired currently, hmmm

  12. Mike Olbinski

    On Demand?

You download shows and watch them…ON DEMAND :)

  13. Mike Olbinski

Right, some of them are free, some of them aren't some of them are in HD as well.

  14. The Trousered Ape

It's probably for the best that it is not in graphic novel format, because if it was I'm sure Hollywood would attempt to make a movie out of it.

  15. The Trousered Ape

    That's too demanding…

  16. Cap'n Schwartz

    See mike, someone has a ps3… Ps3 = Blu-Ray…. Blu-Ray = Firefly… Hi5 to Dado

  17. Cap'n Schwartz

Actually if you have a DVR, press menu and Indemand option, in que you will have a little movie about it all… its only 5 min, and it was tyhe first thing the writers got to getther and wrote once the strike ended… its a cute little film…

Wouldn't it be nice if my DVR had wireless capability? As opposed to requiring another device. Now that would be nice.

  19. Mike Olbinski

    Ugh :)

  20. Cap'n Schwartz

Yeah but then they cant get you to buy their extra box I say you need that Mo doesnt…

  21. ScottyDub

Well, even MO says you need something more, in this case the a router, etc. My question is why? Isn't it enough there getting my $350 for NFL Sunday ticket?

  22. Mike Olbinski

I'm not saying you NEED more, you just need to hook it up to your home network. If you have it close by, then you just plug it in.

If you don't, then you need to do more.

I guess if they did it over the satellite, that would be easier, but I don't think they have the bandwidth for all that.

It's really not THEIR fault for this…it's something the offer for free, if you want to use it, you gotta hook it up to the net.

    LOL
