Yeah! I got excited when I changed from Comcast to Direct TV and learned about hundreds of free movies I could get with Direct TV Ondemand. After spending $ 200 to upgrade my wireless router and purchase a wireless adapter the disappoint was unbelieveable. If you don't subscribe to the premium channels you don't get their content. The few basic channels that carry movies limit their ondemand content to maybe one or two not very good movies at best. In comparison, Comcast provides over 50 free movies some HD for anyone with the basic subscription to access. Granted the Comcast movies aren't all the great either but if you are a movie nut like I am but too cheap to pay for premium channels that was a better deal than what I'm getting with Direct TV ondemand.
My Netflix instant streaming to my TV is picking up the slack.

I'm not saying you NEED more, you just need to hook it up to your home network. If you have it close by, then you just plug it in.

If you don't, then you need to do more.

I guess if they did it over the satellite, that would be easier, but I don't think they have the bandwidth for all that.

It's really not THEIR fault for this...it's something the offer for free, if you want to use it, you gotta hook it up to the net.

Wouldn't it be nice if my DVR had wireless capability? As opposed to requiring another device. Now that would be nice.
