Are you getting excited about the upcoming season of 24? I mean, yeah, it’s like 7 months away, but still.
Would it damper your anticipation if you knew Tony Almeida was not only back from the dead, but likely a suspect in terrorism attacks?
From the News Observer (via Remote Access), we get this tidbit from executive producer Manny Coto:
But while Jack is in Washington, FBI agent Renee Walker brings him in to deal with a series of possible terrorist attacks instigated by former CTU agent Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard), previously presumed dead. “Jack’s thrust into this mystery of how Tony is still alive, and why is he trying to bring down this country?”
So what the heck is with Tony? He was dead, then saved Jack’s life once, and now he’s going to be a bad guy?
I didn’t like last season all that much and now I am slightly worried about this one. What about you guys?

“I didn’t like last season all that much and now I am slightly worried about this one.” … You take that back!!! =) Bauer rocks, no matter what page 72 of the crappy script says…. I wish Tony being the bad guy was more of a surprise and thiller though, but they have pretty much tossed it out there…. I liked more when they teamed up, so will be interesting to see them go head to head…
I'm still sticking to the idea that Tony is a good guy and it's going to be some big twist in the show. I have nothing to base that on but gut instinct so it's not a spoiler. Just hope.
Hopefully Jack can 'still see the good in him” and save him while thre is still time, he will do this by “refusing to fight him ' and not give into the Emporers demands…
@Capn -ROTFL
I'm still a huge fan of Bauer/24, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
That's exactly what I think too.
Hey Scotty, you can now reply directly TO someone with the little reply button, so you don't have to do the @Capn stuff anymore
And yeah, he deserves a point for that. Up arrow away!
Jumping the Shark for 24 = No one is ever REALLY dead.
@Mike -old habits die hard. lol
ROTFL!
You get a point for that.
So true…
I'm gonna say David Palmer is pretty much dead Jim…
@ Mike – you said, “you can now reply directly TO someone with the little reply button, so you don't have to do the @Capn stuff anymore
”
whatever…
Will Tony give Jack the beat down? Only if he takes lessons from Bourne.
Apparently he should go to McClaine school of beating distribution…
ha
which I still dont get, but hey. the masses have spoken
Jack doesn't “see the good” in anyone. Remember he shot his partner when he had a gun to his head? Point blank, no mercy. Don't get in Bauer's way.
