Bryan Singer Producing Very Cool Sounding Capeshooters

Okay, so we’ve got like a thousand comic book adaptations in the works with a bunch more on the way that I’m going to be reporting on over the next day or two, but there’s one that Bryan Singer is producing that I think sounds pretty cool and could bring something unique to the superhero concept. It’s called Capeshooters.

In Capeshooters, two slackers decide to become paparazzi who specialize in shooting covert videos of superheroes. Well, they soon find themselves on the run after they stumble onto evidence that a revered superhero is actually a villain.

Sounds cool, right? The story kind of takes the idea of a superhero and turns it on its head. What if one of the world’s most revered superheros were actually a villain? How would two slacker photographers hope to expose a superhero without being destroyed? I can imagine a lot of possibilities.

The film will be an adaptation of the upcoming comic book by Rob Liefeld. Liefeld is a former Marvel Comics artist who left to become co-founder of Image Comics. The screenplay will be written by J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani.

  1. I'd watch that!

  2. Movie sounds great, but the comic book will be horrible; mark my words. Rob Leifield is horrible. Horrible.

  3. To further illustrate my point, here's a hilarious take on his horribleness.

  4. LOL!

  5. I don't get. What's the problem?

  6. I'd so see that too. Imagine, Superman or Spiderman ending up being a villain. Cool.
