Conan Teaser Poster Looks Like Arnold

There’s no head in this teaser poster for the 2009 version of Conan that is due to hit theaters, but there’s something about the body in the poster that looks a whole lot like the original Conan, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it IS Arnold’s body. I am saying that this poster makes it pretty obvious the direction the filmmakers plan on taking the film - right in the direction of an Arnold type physique. I don’t think they’ve even cast this movie yet, so it seems like maybe they’re really pigeonholing themselves with a very particular body type. Maybe they don’t plan on settling for anything less, though, so it might not be a big deal.

I can’t say I’m very excited about seeing this film. If Arnold was coming back I’d be all kinds of excited, but without him it just seems like something “less” if you know what I mean. I won’t pass final judgment until I see the trailer, but I don’t have high hopes.

  1. Hey they are using my body without my consent, those bastards!

  2. Yeah I'm with you Jason, I duno how excited I am to see this and what all the hype about Conan is lately (there is even an MMO with it currently thats all the craze)… eh….

  3. What does it say on his sword?

  4. That's like Latin or some made up language or something. But it says: “Jason was here.”

  5. Somehow, I doubt that.

  6. I am not ready to say this movie is going to be bad yet. We don't know who they have in line to play the star. There is an Autrian body builder that might be able to handel it, right now he is in the new Terminator movie with Christian Bale. He looks similar to the way Arnold did back when he did the first movies. I would love to see a new face, a new tallent revealed in this movie. They don't always have to use a famous face for every film. Besides, there is much more story to be told, and I think we need a new Conan story. I am hopeful it will be great.
