Here’s some good news for those trying to get into Mad Men before the season premiere on July 27th. AMC is running a marathon of all 13 episodes from season 1 this Sunday, July 20th starting at NOON EST, lasting until 1 AM.
I’ve heard nothing but high praise for this series on AMC, and I’ve been wanting to check it out forever. I actually have the first disk for season one sitting at home, but watching it in high-def on AMC HD seems like a lot more fun!
If you have no clue what the show is about, here’s a quick synopsis:
Set in 1960s New York, the daring drama follows the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising, an ego-driven world where key players make an art of the sell while their private world get sold.
In the second season, Mad Men will continue to blur the lines between good and bad, and perception and reality. The world is moving in a new direction, can Sterling Cooper keep up? Meanwhile the private life of Don Draper becomes complicated in a new way. What is the cost of his secret identity?
I think the DVR will be kicking it into overdrive this weekend.
May have to fire up the DVR. Lord knows our viewing options are a bit thin at the moment.
Sweet was going to get this in my netflix queue but not I won't have to, it'll be in my other que the “of shit I have a lot of tv to watch.”
