Hiding In Time Getting Film Treatment

I love me some time travel! Love it. I’ve always enjoyed stories about time travel and now we hear that Warner Bros. has optioned yet another graphic novel to be turned into yet another film that may or may not be anything like the actual comic. This time, however, I’m actually interested because the comic book series is called Hiding In Time.

According to Variety, Beau Thorne who wrote the adaptation for the upcoming Max Payne movie will be tackling this Christopher Long created comic book series. Hiding In Time is about a Witness Protection Program of the near future that actually relocates people throughout time to ensure their safety. However, when hired assassins begin finding and killing them, Nathan Crew – a simple technician in the now-defunct Time Portal Division of the WPP – is forced to travel back in time to try and stop the atrocities!

It all sounds pretty cool to me although I shudder to think of the time paradoxes that would be created in a Star Trek world that hid people in the past…but that’s just my nerd side coming out.

It could turn out to be total crap (Timeline anyone?) or it could turn out to be really cool. If you’re interested, Comic Book Resources has an 8 page preview of the first issue. Check it out along with the images below and let me know what you think.
