Ridley Scott’s Body of Lies Movie Trailer Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe

Ridley Scott is back with his favorite actor, Russell Crowe, and this time they brought along one of his other favorite actors Leonardo DiCaprio in a film called Body of Lies. An international trailer has just been released for the film and it looks really good.

Body of Lies returns Scott to the Middle East where he directed the excellent Black Hawk Down. This film is less of a war movie and more of a thriller or drama, but it looks like a cut above most of the Middle Eastern dramas we’ve seen lately. Both Crowe and DiCaprio look and sound like completely different people.

Body of Lies is based on Washington Post columnist David Ignatius’ 2007 novel about a CIA operative, Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio), who uncovers a lead on a major terrorist leader suspected to be operating out of Jordan. When Ferris devises a plan to infiltrate his network, he must first win the backing of cunning CIA veteran Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe) and the collegial, but perhaps suspect, head of Jordanian intelligence. Although ostensibly his allies, Ferris questions how far he can really trust these men without putting his entire operation - and his life - on the line.

Body of Lies is directed by Ridley Scott and the screenplay was written by William Monahan (Kingdom of Heaven, The Departed). It is set to open in US theaters on October 10, 2008.
