T-Minus 1 day, 18 hours until The Dark Knight hits theaters at midnight on Thursday. By the time you read this article who knows where the countdown will be, but more than likely a few more online showings of the film will have been sold out.
In fact, according to Thompson on Hollywood, online ticket sales for the latest Batman movie are already outpacing those of previous record holders, like Spiderman 3, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
MovieTickets.com reports that 700 shows are already sold out across the country, with 270 of those in the New York/Los Angeles areas.
Their rival online ticket seller, Fandango, says they’ve sold out 500 shows. Apparently, they only have 10% of their inventory for The Dark Knight left!
Here are the top online ticket sellers for MovieTickets.com:

I think this movie is going to be one hell of a ride. It's Batman vs the Joker, nobody wants to miss out on this showdown. Don't miss it.
