Okay, today’s Friday Question is going to be a bit different that normal. I was bored and wanted to shake things up and get a bit more interaction from you all.
I love trivia and entertainment trivia most of all. It’s fun trying to reach back in our memories to find that long lost quote or scene from a film.
So today, I thought we’d all ask some trivia questions until we get blue in the face.
How it works:
- Post an entertainment trivia question as a main comment on the thread below. Use the bottom comment box to do it.
- Be the first one to reply to THAT comment with the correct answer.
- Earn the respect of all of us.
Just make sure to reply directly to a specific comment when you answer a question, and not the general comment box at the bottom of the page.
I prefer it if you guys don’t cheat and use Google to find the answers, but honestly…who is going to stop you?
Let’s have some fun and I want to see some great trivia questions.
Here’s the first one…
Who said the following quote from a movie:
“You’re pretty funny for a guy with nine fingers.“
And if that line has been used a few times in multple films, I don’t care. I know which movie I’m thinking of!

Charlie Barret - Suicide Kings
Heres my Trivia question…
What was the dogs name on the brady bunch…?
Pshaw. That's not even a question.
Tiger.
He was also the star of A Boy and His Dog (Blood), but when LQ Jones offered to buy him when filming was done - just so this wonderful dog who he believed had made his movie better by his performance could retire - the trainers said no. Then poor Tiger got run over by a truck.
Never ask about Tiger in the presence of Harlan Ellison fans. Or Brady Bunch fans. And DEFINITELY not in the presence of someone who's both!!!
In The Sure Thing, when they started the cross country trip they were in a carpool. Who played the showtune-singing man in the car?
Bonus question: who was “The Sure Thing”?
Actually no, its Cindy!! =D
Someone give that man a point!
Tim Robbins
bonus question answer - Nicollette Sheridan was the Sure Thing
bah!! I didnt hit reply… stoopid nesting…
You cheated on that one!
OMG, you are seriously insane for knowing all that
Point given, hilarious
She still is
Aha! Right you are, Cap'n!
What band was playing live at the end of the movie Swingers?
how would knowing the answer be cheating? I musta cheated at Star wars trivial pursuit as well… remember the only thing I'm good for is uselss knowledge, and Ive got plenty of that!!!
yeah never woulda known that… well done! thatll teach me to ask a question!
I dunno, you had the name down and everything.
Did you ever see the movie really?
(And you are a nerd, that's why you won at SW trivial pursuit!)
answer - whoever it was doing the music, duh!
I haven't seen it in a couple years, but I'm going to guess…The Cherry Poppin Daddies?
Here's a tougher one. On Sports Night Dana had an idiotic plan forcing Casey to date other women. Those dates went poorly. He dated one pretty perky blond girl and talked about Dana the whole time. In a later episode he ran into the pretty perky blond girl and flirted with her, realizing she was actually interesting.
What was her unusual name?
Bonus: who played her date that night when Casey gave her his number?
Thanks for the vote of integrity…
saw the movie…
Pixley!
Tom Cavanagh!
I love Sports Night!
Never saw any sports nights…
No, but close
I taketh away a point from thee!
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
Someone give the lady a point!
Awesome!
As much as I'd have dug Dana, if Pixley had come along I'm not sure I'd have remembered Dana's name.
Here's a tough one (I think). Easy with Google or IMDB, hard without. Jon Favreau's producing partner is most famous for a movie in which he once acted.
Who is he and what's the name of the movie?
Agreed
Without looking up, I can only say either Ron Livingston or Vince Vaughn, but I know I'm wrong.
didnt look it up im guessing…
Daredevil - ben Affleck
Coolio, I've got a question holding up against the onslaught, at least for the moment. So here's another one:
What job did Joe have in Joe vs. the Volcano *before* working in the crappy office at the beginning?
Only saw that movie once.
A good f/u would be which Miami Vice star played opposite the dog in A Boy and his Dog?
Well, clearly if I know LQ Jones wrote and directed and who played Blood, *I* know who played Vic. But it's not a bad Q for someone else.
