Body Of Lies Poster with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe

Body Of Lies Poster with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe

I’ve been pretty excited about seeing the new Ridley Scott film, Body Of Lies, for a while now even if I haven’t had time to read the book it’s based on. I mean, a Ridley Scott film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe. What could go wrong, right? Well, this poster for one thing.

America’s Got Talent Renewed For Fourth Season

America’s Got Talent Renewed For Fourth Season

I have to admit, I’ve only seen it on occasion and don’t follow it on a regular basis, but I know a lot of people who do. So I know some of you might be interested in hearing that NBC’s hit summer series America’s Got Talent has been renewed for a fourth season.

David Duchovny Enters Rehab For Sex Addiction

David Duchovny Enters Rehab For Sex Addiction

I’m not sure we’d ordinarily report on something like this, but I find it highly ironic that David Duchovny plays a sex-obsessed character on the Showtime series Californication and he has now checked himself into a clinic to be treated for sex addiction.

Saw V Poster - “You Won’t Believe How It Ends”

Saw V Poster - “You Won’t Believe How It Ends”

The Saw movies may just keep recycling the same old story over and over again, but there’s certainly no shortage of creativity in the art department. The posters for Saw V as well as all the other Saw films have always been pretty cool. This one is no different.

Teaser Poster for He’s Just Not That Into You

Teaser Poster for He’s Just Not That Into You

He’s Just Not Into You looks like one of those movies that could be awesome or just completely suck. My initial reaction to the trailer that we showed you guys back in May was positive. I mean, how can you not like the idea of an ensemble film with tons of great actors, like Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, Justin Long, Drew Barrymore, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Connelly, Scarlett Johannson, Kevin Connolly and Ginnifer Goodwin?

But it really all depends on the writing. If it’s clever and funny, this could be an early 2009 hit.

Ana Lucia is back on Lost?

Ana Lucia is back on Lost?

Apparently the Lost DUI kiss of the death has a statute of limitations.

Ana Lucia, played by Michelle Rodriguez, will be making an appearance in episode two of the upcoming season of Lost. If you recall (and if you watch the show, how could you forget?) Ana was blown away by Michael in season two.

Most speculated that the death was a direct result of her habit of driving while intoxicated and then getting caught.

NBC Ups Chuck to a Full Season Order

NBC Ups Chuck to a Full Season Order

Get it? Ups Chuck? Upchuck?

Lame, yes, but it made me laugh. Simple minds, simple pleasures.

Originally, the spy-comedy Chuck had only been asked to do a half-season. But that was until NBC announced Thursday that they love the show so much, it’s only fitting we should be blessed with a full order of episodes.

Snow Patrol’s A Hundred Million Suns debuts October 28th

Snow Patrol’s A Hundred Million Suns debuts October 28th

Yes, I know there are a hundred million bands out there with upcoming albums and I don’t write about many of them, but that’s because Snow Patrol is my absolute favorite, so you’re going to get news about them.

Back in late May I let you guys know that the band was working on a new album per their website, but try as I might, more info wasn’t to be had. But now we have the album name and U.S. release date. Although I’m a bit late, as it was announced back on August 16th.

Mike’s Fall TV Preview: Fridays

Mike’s Fall TV Preview: Fridays

Friday nights are a different breed of television. You can usually find some obscure, offbeat show on that night that doesn’t seem to fit elsewhere. Firefly, The X-Files, Battlestar Galactica, Ghost Whisperer, Moonlight and others are some examples.

Those shows lean more towards my kind of tastes in our house, and it’s always made Friday nights fun for me. You could go out, see a movie, have dinner, see some friends yet still know when you get home, be it 10, 11 or midnight, you have BSG or The X-Files waiting patiently for your return.
