It looks like Alec Baldwin is going to be joining Meryl Streep in an untitled romantic comedy that Nancy Meyers scripted and will direct for Universal.
In the film Baldwin will play one of two men who get caught up in a romantic triangle with Streep. The film begins shooting February 12.
What is it with Meryl Streep and romantic triangles these days? Am I the only one that just doesn’t see her as a sex symbol? I do think she’s a good actress and I think Alec Baldwin is both charming and funny. However, I might have a hard time trying to get into a romantic story where they are the leads.

Oh, yeah. A movie about 2 old people falling in love. Or maybe 3. God, I hope there's no sex scenes in this. Maybe it takes place on the internet and they're pretending to be 30 years younger?
I think the problem with Streep as a sex symbol is that her last several roles (that I've seen, at least) have all involved her being a haughty, unlikable bitch. While that's pretty much exactly what Angelina Jolie does too, at least she's a hell of a lot younger.
I think that Meryl Streep is a good actress… but I never really care to see her in anything, especially this type of role. Even newfound-fame Alec Baldwin may not entice me to the theater on this one.
Her last movie was a love SQUARE. Mama Mia had her and three other guys. Yuck.
I'm just hoping for nudity. Lots and lots of nudity.

I don`t think they should play in a movie together. They just don`t fit each other. Beside I think that they are way to old for nude scenes and that kind of thing.
I think they’ll be marvellous together. Meryl is lovely looking, when she chooses to be and her various co-stars, such as Pierce Brosnan describe her as a good kisser and obviously, both in the film and in interviews, find her very HOT!
I’m a big fan of her, whatever she does turns out to be good, even completely annoying movies like Death Becomes Her, there’s always a Meryl’s special moment on it.
Besides, what’s wrong with a middle aged woman on a love affair, did you all forget Bridges of Madison County? How sexy was that? Even Pierce Brosnan felt for her on Mamma Mia, any doubts about it
I think Meryl Streep is incredibly sexy, and the fact that she doesn’t seem to know it makes her even hotter.
