The rumors have been circulating for a few weeks now, but TV Guide just confirmed that the remaining episodes of Battlestar Galactica will be “extra-long” or extended editions.
What that means, no one exactly knows yet. There were also rumors of an 11th episode possibly happening, but I haven’t heard anything about that for awhile.
Perhaps these super-sized episodes will void the need for the 11th, but we’ll see. We do know David Eick told fans at Comic-Con that there was no way possible for them to cram all the story left to be told into just ten more episodes, so anything is possible here.
The news is welcomed and exciting. I don’t want BSG to end at all, so whatever they can do to prolong the inevitable, I’m cool with that.

Next thing you know they'll be announcing that the season has been extended…by another season…
If they can't fill the rest of the story in 10 episodes, and if their making these episodes super sized, why not just do a season 5? I don't get it.
