Every once in a while we see a film that’s not really on our radar get a huge upsurge in interest based on the cast list that it builds. A great cast can definitely make or break a film which is why I’m always excited to see star actors join together to form a great ensemble.
Variety is reporting that Liam Neeson and Orlando Bloom have signed on to star in the big screen adaptation of Bill Carter’s book “Fools Rush In.” Javier Bardem is also in talks for a supporting role.
Carter wrote the book about the period of time when he lived and worked as an aid worker in Sarajevo during the bitter Balkans war siege that lasted 43 months.
I’m not a huge Orlando Bloom fan, but I think Liam Neeson and Javier Bardem in a film together is a great idea. I think Bloom seems to do better when he has a great supporting cast around him so I would expect him to do well in this film. We don’t know a lot about it yet, but I’m going to keep my eyes and ears open for this one.
Filming is expected to get started in Sarajevo at the end of the year, with the mayor of Sarajevo backing the project.
Wait where are Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie????
I saw the original with Matthew Perry and Selma Hayek… looks like they are taking this one in a new direction.
I don't hand out points or know their significance but you deserve a point for that.
