Made it to the comic book store late this week, hitting it up on Thursday instead of the usual Wednesday. It completely threw my life out of balance, but I managed to keep things on course. Somehow.
Despite my struggles, I did make it out the door with less stuff than normal. I had to tell myself that just because I see a new issue of a series, that doesn’t mean I have to go ahead and buy all the previous issues just to catch up.
Chuck #3
I’ve already read the first two issues in this six-issue series based off the hit TV show. I enjoyed the first a lot, but the second was just okay. They aren’t anything special, but I do love the show, so I’m going to keep reading for the fun of it.
Batman RIP #679
Very excited to read the next issue in this awesome series. I don’t understand everything that is happening, but I don’t think even faithful readers get all the clues and stuff Grant Morrison has thrown our way. The Nightwing RIP and Robin RIP stories that are written in conjunction with these series have also been pretty good.
The guy at Atomic Comics told me what he thinks is going on, and it sort of blew me away. He might be right.
Daredevil: Saga
This is the Saga issue of Daredevil, to help people catch up on where Ed Brubaker has taken the series. It was free, so why not?
DC Universe 0
The dude at Atomic Comics floated me this 50 cent comic book that is supposed to be a primer for things to come in the DC Universe, especially in massive stories like Final Crisis, etc. There is even a few pages involving Batman and The Joker that have some meaning with Batman RIP.
Fantastic 4: #559
I was hearing some great things about this issue, and having never read any Fantastic 4 comic book, I figured why not? It’s Mark Millar, so I don’t see any reason not to pick it up.
Secret Invasion #4 and #5
It appears that I’m missing #3 of this Marvel series. #5 came out this week, so I grabbed #4 and didn’t see the third one anywhere.
I started this the other night, but was so dead tired I put it down after a few pages. It looks awesome though, cannot wait to get into it.

It's amazing how quickly our house is starting to look like Atomic Comics.
Wait untill he starts bringing home wall scrolls….
P.S dont blame the Capn for this new obsession =)
Daredevil could never really grab me, and Ben afleck didnt help at all…. lemme know how this one is…
Home wall scrolls? I don't like the sound of that one bit.
Daredevil was good when Bendis was writing it, some bastard stole my #50 issue while I was moving!!! Ah well. Brubaker is great so I am sure it will be good.
Thats nothing wait until he starts bringing home the busts.
