The more Nathan Fillion, the better, is what I always say. We told you guys briefly about this new pilot he was starring in called Castle, but we didn’t know much about it, nor if it was even going to be picked up by ABC.
Well, we still only have the outline of what the show is about, but we can pass on the news that it has indeed been picked up and will become a series sometime in the future.
The plot revolved around mystery/horror novelist (Fillion) who uses his talents to help solve crimes in New York.
When is anyone’s guess I assume. James Hibbard’s blog says the addiction of Castle (and two others law enforcement dramas) gives ABC some “procedural guns” for next season, but it’s hard to believe we wont see Fillion’s new series before next fall.
We’ll keep you updated when and if we hear of a premiere date.
ABC also picked up The Unusuals (an NYPD ensemble with Amber Tamblyn), Cupid (From Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas), Better Off Ted (Office comedy) and Single With Parents (Another comedy, this time with Alyssa Milano).

Fantastic! We need more shows with Nathan Fillion.
Woo hoo, and the best part is, its not on NBC (cant believe they offed Journeyman, doh!)
Or on Fox where they canceled Firefly
