I’ve already mentioned that I’m really excited to see the Ed Harris directed Appaloosa. I love westerns in general and the last few big screen westerns have actually been pretty good (Open Range and 3:10 To Yuma come to mind). This one looks like it could be another good one.
A pair of friends are hired to protect a lawless town suffering at the hands of a renegade rancher but the two get distracted when an attractive widow shows up and disrupts their plans.

Appaloosa stars Viggo Mortensen, Renée Zellweger, Jeremy Irons, Ed Harris, Lance Henriksen, Rex Linn, Girard Swan, Ariadna Gil, Tom Bower, Luce Rains, and Adam Nelson, and is directed by Ed Harris.
Appaloosa is set to hit theaters on October 3, 2008.
