I can't believe there's only one more hour of Charlie Jade. Man, a whole lot happened in this penultimate hour. Pulled the trigger on the R-2 DVD set and watched this last episode that way. Big diff. in PQ!… but surprised at only a stereo soundtrack.

Wonder how the slate, and 01's redirection of the Hunter to go after Julius, was accomplished without the Link being up? We were led to believe that without the Link, there was no communication between the 'verses. Unless maybe 01 personally made another quick round-trip to Beta just to accomplish those two tasks…?

Wonder where the Men in the Gray Suits will come into this? Could they be the guys that want Reena to destroy Alpha, thereby assuring no Link will ever again be constructed?

I think we're supposed to ignore the slate and redirected contract, but if it matters, assume 01. :)

I haven't listened to this week's commentary track yet; maybe Wertheimer will have something to say about it.

Man, excellent recap. All I can say is that my tivo better record the right channel next week!

Richard, are you still doing your 'Mad Men' recaps?

Great work on the recap Richard.

I always seem to miss some of the small details in the story that flash by so quickly on this show. For instance, 1) I didn't realize the hunter-killer contract was redirected to Julius, I only thought it was cancelled by 01 thereby saving Charlie a lot of potential problems in beta; and 2) I didn't get that the content of the message directed at Reena was some sort of mission directive to somehow destroy alpha. It only appeared to be a video recording of her originally blowing up the link in gamma at the start of the series.

Obviously, I need to re-watch this episode.

I’m happy to see Charlie back in beta with Blues. That scene with the four actors coming together was well done.

I’ve really enjoyed watching this show slowly develop, eventually find its footing, hit a stride and bring this story to life in such a unique and visually stunning way. I have become so emotionally invested in the characters that it’s a little sad knowing we’ll never see Charlie, Blues, 01, Reena, Karl, Jasmine, Sew Sew, etc., ever again. I would have been completely onboard for additional seasons of CJ.

Richard, I have a few more questions for you about this show but I will hold them until after the final episode next week.

He's doing them over on http://www.dreamloom.com now :)

Watch Sew Sew’s face as he realizes it’s Jasmine calling and that she wants him to come home. Beautiful acting.
And Reena — I am the bringer of death, I am the killer of worlds.
But I guess we have to see the final (final!) show to figure out what that means, since the message on the strange tech device isn’t clear.
BTW, not to nitpick, but didn’t Blues, in her voice-over in the show in which Charlie showed her all about Vexcor and spent the night, didn’t Blues say she never saw Charlie again? Hmmm. I just tell myself they were doing this writing very quickly.
