‘This is what I do. This is all I do.’

The Sarah Connor Chronicles has always overplayed the one dimensionality of its characters. It’s a rarity to see Sarah break down as she did at the end of Mr. Ferguson Is Ill Today.

Cromartie walking into his final battle

Cromartie walking into his final battle

This was the episode I’ve been waiting this entire season for — the writers put a human touch to the death of a machine in a shootout within a church. As Cameron pointed out early in the episode, she can’t feel happiness, machines have no soul.

But Cromartie is the kind of one-dimensional bad guy that we love to hate. You can’t expect much more from a machine, unless he were a Cylon, I suppose.

Each character’s separate storyline kept us waiting intensely every minute for the event that finally set off the final battle.

Sarah finally let her guard down as she smashed Cromartie’s chip, showing that humans can break too, even the mother of the eventual savior of man, proving that this show is one of the best on television.

When are John and Cameron gonna hook up already?

Is it weird that I want this to happen?

Characters in the show are always pointing out how Cameron is a machine, no matter how much humanity they add to her character.

Though it wasn’t a scene as prominent in the episode as the final showdown, Cameron lying on the bed beside John early on to have their conversation about Riley, leads me to believe that there’s more left to this story.

Why does John trust the machines so much in the future?

How much of a role will Cameron play when he’s humankind’s salvation?

  1. Need to catch up on the last two episodes b4 I read this.

  2. Yeah, I’m behind as well…definitely need to catch up…I heard the last few have been pretty good.

  3. This is one of two shows I simply just can’t miss this season — the other being Friday Night Lights. You guys seriously need to catch up.

The last few episodes have definitely been some of the best. The previews for next week’s episode looks like it’s going to be good too.

  4. Finally watch the last two last night. Good stuff, thought the final shootout was too risky. Man Cromartie can’t aim for shit. You think with all the future robotics that wouldn’t be an issue. Cameron is starting to feel or it appears that way when she sees Cromartie with his face blown off. Also Cromartie seemed to get irritated.

  5. I noticed the same thing Dadofiandi..what’s up with Cromartie’s aim??

  6. Probably I need to watch the last episode before to watch this.

  7. Where can I rent these episodes or download them. I am so behind I can’t catch up now.
