Looks good to me. I like that the layout is fairly straightforward. What I don't like about IMDB is that there's so much stuff on their pages. Really, really busy. Doesn't make for a fairly relaxing reading experience at all. :(

It wouldn't just be a movie database, but a book, movie, and TV database. Initially, it would take up some of my time, but the way I have it set up, I could easily add a new movie or something in a few minutes.

I'll definitely think about Metacritic. I like how they pull in outside sources.

I emailed you about 24.

I like how the TechCrunch post footer is done. I'm completely separating the normal post content from all the extra information like that, which will allow me to extract it however I want.

Thanks for the ideas.

I agree that we need something that signifies it as being PopCritic-y.

There are sites like IMDB and such that do this sort of thing, but I'd like to do it better. IMDB actually used to be one of my favorite sites until it became bloated and the design became outdated.

I'll keep thinking of ideas though.

Hi Justin,

A movie database would be a great addition to the site. How time consuming will that be for you? Metacritic is one of my favorite sites and I love the simple but detailed information that is provided for each movie. A link to IMDB and other outlets are also a reason I go back to Metacritic on almost a daily basis. I would suggest using that site as somewhat of a cheat sheet.

P.S. 24 starts back up tonight - anything you'd like to see in the weekly posts? Do I need to stay spoiler free?

Best,
Cary

Hey Justin,

Perhaps something similar to the CrunchBase footer that they use at TechCrunch.
Below each post with the details of the film, rating, director etc... So it doesn't take
a lot of web real estate and it's a bit more integrated. Just throwing ideas around.

Thanks,
Fabien

It's a good idea, but my fear is that it'll only be doing what sites like IMDB already do. It definitely needs something that would be uniquely PopCritic-y. That being said, I have no ideas, so I'm really no help. :)
