I tend to agree with you Shannon! I don’t think it excuses what he did but the damage has been done and everyone should move on. I think the constant press over this is somewhat frustrating.

I think it is a beginning – again -he said : “ELIN WILL KNOW FROM MY BEHAVIOUR”
-let us hope , Tiger can turn it around. He could be an inspiration for many and create something incredible. He has shown that already -the capacity to be incredible…
Let us give him another chance and the let us see if Elin knows hw to forgive.

I just don’t get why Tiger has to apologise to the public. He hasn’t hurt us!!

Don’t we just love seeing rich famous people fall from grace? And why is it? Are our lives so miserable that we have to resort to focusing on others problems – not our own.

Only time will tell how sincere Tiger’s apology is.

I agree with your statement pertaining to the woman who blamed herself for allowing herself to succumb to such temptation. She should have known better, and it takes two to do the dirty deed. Tiger Woods didn’t have any real gut-wrenching experience with life until his mishaps. This kind of thing happens on a regular basis to regular people who are not rich like Tiger, and they get up, brush themselves off, and continue on their ways to recovery. So, Tiger will be fine. He just got introduced to the real world in an unfamiliar way, and he didn’t know how to handle himself when confronted with the forbidden fruits of pleasure! So, he got sucked in. Tiger will definitely learn from this; in fact, it is not only he will learn from this, but many other men out there who have the tendency to stray will think twice before they do, just because they saw how hurtful such behaviors can be for families and friends.

I myself still admire Tiger as an athlete, and there for accept his public apology. But to be honest most of us makes mistake by admiring this people and making them as a role model for our kids. Yes you can admire them as an Athlete but not as a person coz we never really knows what their behavior is in close doors.

The cult of celebrity brings pressure and pitfalls which Tiger Woods succumbed to. At least he has apologised and looks as though he is bringing his legendary focus onto sorting his problems. He has severely damaged the Tiger Woods brand though. It will be a while before his business marketing is back on track.

I think Tiger is a great athlete, unfortunately many celebrities don’t realize they are being judged by the media and that millions of people are watching their every move. But they are human beings like the rest of us, subject to commiting mistakes and we all have to understand that.

He had to apologize, he is a public figure and has many followers, he had no other choice.
