The first trailer for John Patrick Shanley's drama Doubt is online and I must say, I have mixed emotions about it. There's no denying the Oscar caliber stars which include Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Amy Adams will bring oodles of instant credibility ...

If you’ve heard anything about Hounddog it’s probably because it stirred up a bit of controversy when it hit the festival circuit and people realized that Dakota Fanning was appearing in a rape scene. Not a lot has been said about the movie other than what’s been said, good and bad, about that scene, but the studio is gearing up for a limited release.

Quick Stop Entertainment has released what they are calling a teaser trailer for what will ultimately be known as Heath Ledger’s final film role, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The video would probably more appropriately be called a featurette by most people as it lacks the elements of a true teaser. However, it is insightful as director Terry Gilliam himself gives us an introduction to the film through a combination of photos and concept art.

Earlier this month we showed you the poster Kevin Smith wanted to use as a teaser poster for Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Not surprisingly, the MPAA wouldn’t let him release the poster in the states because of the quite obvious sexual overtones. Well, Smith has used the controversy to his advantage and released a new, more MPAA friendly, teaser poster for the film.

We all knew after the fourth film, Rambo, made a bit of a splash that a fifth film was always a possibility. Sylvester Stallone and others have said that it wouldn’t happen, but money talks. Now we’re getting news that a fifth film in the series has a green light.

Last night’s repeat of the Fringe premiere also included a sneak peak at The Day the Earth Stood Still. From all reports it’s the same footage they showed at Comic-Con but better edited. In case you missed it, I thought I’d give you a chance to check it out.
