This weekend, for the first time ever, four new films opened to double digit grosses in the same weekend in September. The four new films accounted for 77% of the top ten films, but no one is complaining as the four films seemed to offer something to almost everyone.

If you missed the incredibly awesome premiere of the new, soon-to-be-hit, series Fringe on Fox, you’re in luck because Fox is going to air it again on Sunday and give you another chance to see it before the second episode. As a bonus you’ll get to see some sneak peaks of 24: Redemption and The Day the Earth Stood Still.

The USA Network has actually come a long way in the past several years. I’m still disappointed that they canceled The 4400, but at least they still have Psych and they’re making an effort to put up some quality programming. Yesterday they announced the premiere dates of their fall shows.

Sometimes I wonder how some movies get the money to even get made. Take this movie Bone Deep for instance. You’ll never guess which two sort-of big name actors are starring in it. And when you do find out, you’ll probably think the same thing I did - what?!?!

Not too very long ago I told you how the once-set-to-star-Tom Cruise film Edwin A. Salt was going to get a complete makeover so that Angelina Jolie could play the title character. Well, now it seems that all the rewrite work may be for naught as Angelina may not be making the movie after all.

Fans have been asking for it. The stars aren’t opposed to it. Heck, the studio itself has had it “in production” for four years now. Yet, Seth Green says that the sequel to The Italian Job may never happen.

Vince Vaughn had a pretty fair hit with Jennifer Aniston in The Break Up so I guess he figured teaming up with another cute actress for a comedy might not be a bad idea. This time around he’s paired with Reese Witherspoon in a holiday film that reminds us all that nothing says Christmas like a family ravaged by divorce and broken homes.

I’ve been loving me some Quantum Of Solace since the first teasers and artwork started hitting the web. This film picks up right where Casino Royale left off. It certainly looks to be another hit James Bond film. This new trailer is similar to the teaser but with…well, more…much more.

Spike Lee isn’t just a Clint Eastwood hating potty mouth. No, he makes movies too. One of his best was the Denzel Washington starring Inside Man that came out in 2006. Well, Spike Lee isn’t really known for his sequel joints but Inside Man has him thinking franchise isn’t a dirty word.

You thought Jack Bauer was being exiled? No, no, no. That’s not it. Perhaps a title change is in order? What if they change the name of the 24 movie from 24: Exile to 24: Redemption? Will that make it easier for you to understand what’s going on? Good.
