24 is back in all of it’s ridiculous splendor, and I mean that in a good way. Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) made his return to TV in last night’s 24: Redemption, a 2 hour prequel to the upcoming 7th season.

Relax, it’s only until September 25th. And once again, this is a 2009 show, meaning any delay in production at this point in time wont hurt anyone.
But still, it’s weird.
First we had 24 pausing production in order to focus on writing for a few weeks, and now Dollhouse follows suit. And this is after Joss Whedon already re-wrote the pilot, switching the orginal one to the second episode.

You thought Jack Bauer was being exiled? No, no, no. That’s not it. Perhaps a title change is in order? What if they change the name of the 24 movie from 24: Exile to 24: Redemption? Will that make it easier for you to understand what’s going on? Good.

Here is a bit of interesting news regarding one of the most action-packed series on television.
According to EW.com, production on the FOX series 24 will halt on September 15th after they finish filming episode 18. The break will last 18 days and resume on October 9th. The reason is to give the writing staff time to “re-shape” the final episodes.
Egh, I’m not sure I like the sound of that. Of course, it’s great that they realized the way things were going wasn’t working, but it worries me overall as to the quality of the seventh season.

The above photo is enhanced for your enjoyment (used to be a bit too dark). It’s a screenshot from that infamous episode of 24 where Kim Bauer is caught in an animal trap, and instead of eating her, this cougar just continued on his way.
It was one of the low points of 24 in the entire history of the show. In fact, if I remember correctly, most of us were PRAYING that cougar would eat her right then and there, and spare us episodes and episodes of pain and torture.

Kiefer Sutherland stars as a former policeman-turned-security guard who discovers something sinister lurking in the mirrors of a crumbling museum in writer/director Alexandre Aja’s menacing study in the origins of evil.

If you haven’t heard that Carlos Bernard is back once again to play Tony Almeida on 24 this coming season, then you haven’t been reading our site enough and it’s time to change that fact.
But before we ever get to Tony returning, the 24 movie will take place this fall and from the scene we all were treated with, this looks like a humdinger of an entry.

For some reason there’s been a lot of news lately about 24 and the 24 movie that is set to premiere in November. The movie stars Keifer Sutherland, of course, and will be called 24: Exile and we now have an official trailer for it.

Via Amy Vernon over on LoHud.com comes a very interesting rumor that originated from StarMagazine.com.
Julia Roberts, THE Pretty Woman, is potentially guest-starring on 24 this coming season. Amy pointed out that Roberts left Keifer Sutherland at the altar back in 1991, when she ran off with Jason Patric, an event that I have no recollection of.

Are you getting excited about the upcoming season of 24? I mean, yeah, it’s like 7 months away, but still.
Would it damper your anticipation if you knew Tony Almeida was not only back from the dead, but likely a suspect in terrorism attacks?
