This weekend, for the first time ever, four new films opened to double digit grosses in the same weekend in September. The four new films accounted for 77% of the top ten films, but no one is complaining as the four films seemed to offer something to almost everyone.

Today is the big premiere of Righteous Kill, a movie currently boasting a hideous 21% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it’s highly depressing that the two big-time stars of the film can’t seem to get anything right lately.
I had been planning on checking this out Friday afternoon, but after seeing that percentage, I’m thinking I may save my $10 (plus popcorn/drink) and go buy a Blu-Ray movie instead.

According to Variety, Platinum Studios has teamed with Valhalla Motion Pictures to turn the thriller comicbook “Final Orbit” into a feature film. Valhalla chair Gale Anne Hurd and Platinum Studios chairman-CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg will produce.

A few months ago we told you guys about Righteous Kill, a new crime drama featuring Al Pacino and Robert Niro, paired once again on the big screen. This marks the second time the duo will be in the same film, the first of course was the awesome Heat, one of my favorites.
