Battlestar Galactica
Jane Espenson to pen first "Battlestar Galactica" movie
If you haven’t heard by now, the first of the potential multiple Battlestar Galactica movies has been given the green-light to start production, a joyous blurb of news for fans of the show. Continue →
I’m not sure how many we’ll get, but even one movie (plus the webisodes this summer) will be enough to prolong the end of the series for me. Continue →
Mojo talks about the last shot in BSG's finale and more
Darth Mojo is a special effects guy who works on the set of Battlestar Galactica. Not too long ago I posted some images from some long lost scenes in Star Trek: Voyager. Continue →
Well, he’s back this week with a pretty sweet breakdown of the final shot of Revelations, the mid-season finale of BSG that ran a few weeks ago. Continue →
Michael Turner's death saddens the comic book world
He was battling cancer for awhile, but died at the very young age of 37. According to what I’ve read, Turner was an exceptional artist, having worked for both DC Comics and Marvel, with covers ranging from Superman/Batman, Civil War and Uncanny X-Men, to Witchblade and Fathom. Some say he was a big reason for Witchblade becoming a popular comic book series. Continue →
The Top 10 semifinalists for Emmys in Comedy and Drama
In case you guys are interested, here are the 20 semifinalists in the Emmy categories for Best Comedy and Best Drama series. Continue →
Most notably and highly frakking sad in my opinion, is the continued disregard for Battlestar Galactica. I guess not enough people watch the show. I can only assume if it was on FOX, enough people would have seen it and voted it into this group. Continue →
Tricia Helfer joins the cast of "Inseparable"
At least we know how Cylons will survive after Battlestar Galactica ends. Apparently they’ll get non-stop work on other TV shows. Continue →
Tricia Helfer, who plays the Cylon model Six on BSG, is set to co-star in the Fox drama Inseparable. This comes right on the heels of her stint on Burn Notice this summer. Continue →
Battlestar Galactica podcasts are back!
If you are a big fan of the series Battlestar Galactica, chances are you have listened to a few of the podcasts that the writers and producers of the show record after every episode. Continue →
It’s almost like a running commentary that you’d find with a DVD movie you rented. You can even play it, turn your sound down on the TV and enjoy it that way! Continue →
"Crashdown" joins "Smallville" cast
My hopes run thin for next season’s Smallville, mostly because it’s steadily gone downhill in recent years, and now we’ll be treading a watery grave WITHOUT Lex Luthor and Lana Lang. Continue →
I can do without Lana anyday of the week, but losing two critical cast members cannot be good. Especially when one of them is Clark’s nemesis. Continue →
Must Read: Bear McCreary's recap of "Revelations"
We totally love Bear McCreary here at Pop Critics, mostly because the work he does on Battlestar Galactica is astounding, but a tiny bit is also because he did a nice interview with us not too long ago. Continue →
Some of you may not be that into the idea of composing music for a series, but I have to tell you, the more I’ve learned about the process from Bear’s blog, the more it fascinates me. Continue →
Battlestar Galactica recap: "Revelations" (04×10)
What.The.Frak? Continue →
I did not see that coming. At all. Continue →
Already? With an entire half-season left? Continue →
If you had told me yesterday what happened in this episode, I might have been disappointed that it was taking place so soon. But it was executed so beautifully and then shockingly at the end, I am so excited about where we still have to go. Continue →

Hopefully this isn’t too late for those of you out there, but I was just tipped off that the episide tonight, Revelations, which is the mid-season finale, will run ONE MINUTE long tonight. Continue →
Your handy-dandy DVR may not pick that up, so be sure to tape the show right AFTER and you should be fine. Continue →
Thanks Richard for the heads up. Continue →
