Possible "The X-Files: I Want To Believe" International Movie Poster

A movie poster for The X-Files: I Want To Believe that is supposedly the International version of the poster for the film has hit the internet. I want to believe…it is. But there’s a few things that prevent me from believing it’s true. The most glaring is the fact that this poster is kind of awful. The faces really looked photoshopped. Also, I’m not sure what language is written on the poster so I don’t really know if that’s considered the “international” language or not, but somehow I’m thinking it might not be.

Still, I leave it to you to make up your own mind.

The X-Files: I Want To Believe is directed by Chris Carter and stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Xzibit, Amanda Peet, Billy Connolly, Callum Keith Rennie and Adam Godley.

It is set to open in the US on July 25, 2008.

Okay, this is the crappiest handheld version of a trailer I’ve seen in quite awhile, but it’s the only thing we got right now so that’s what you are getting. You are watching the first X-Files 2 teaser/trailer from WonderCon 2008 that was this weekend.

WonderCon is an annual comic book, science fiction and motion picture event held yearly since 1987.

No clue yet when we’ll get a high quality version of it, hopefully soon and we’ll pass that on to you.

Gotta love the fans in the background hootin’ and hollerin’ at every single thing…especially seeing Gillian Anderson and then at the end with the applause.

Also, if you are looking for a bit more information about the X-Files sequel, iFilm posted a little article about the panel of four that appeared at WonderCon 2008: Chris Carter, Frank Spotniz, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny. They talk about the sequel, some of the hardships of getting back into their old roles after such a long break and other things.

Looks pretty good, I cannot WAIT for this movie. July 25th!

No Henriksen, but three announced for X-Files 2

So the Lance Henriksen in “X-Files 2” rumors turned out to be a dead end, but now comes more definite word of three actors joining David Ducovney and Gillian Anderson in the long-awaited sequel.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Amanda Peet, rapper Xzibit and Billy Connolly will be a part of the second X-Files film, with Peet and Xzibit playing fellow FBI agents alongside Ducovney and Anderson.

That’s about all of the information available at this moment, as Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz (both wrote the screenplay) are keeping the plot cloaked in secrecy.

Connolly has appeared in numerous films, including “Who is Cletis Tout?” (excellent film) and has some wild looking pictures on IMDB.com. Xzibit has appeared in 8 Mile and is apparentlty the host of at least nine episode of Pimp My Ride.

Peet has a great list of movies she’s been in, like Syriana, Identity and my personal favorite: The Whole Nine Yards. I know there is a sequel to that film, but in this household, we don’t talk about it.

An interesting addition to the movie, I like Peet but am unfamiliar with the work of the other two.

No matter what, this is turning out to be the #1 movie I’m looking forward to next year. It starts .
