The Top 10 semifinalists for Emmys in Comedy and Drama

The Top 10 semifinalists for Emmys in Comedy and Drama

By Mike on June 27, 2008

In case you guys are interested, here are the 20 semifinalists in the Emmy categories for Best Comedy and Best Drama series. Continue →

Most notably and highly frakking sad in my opinion, is the continued disregard for Battlestar Galactica. I guess not enough people watch the show. I can only assume if it was on FOX, enough people would have seen it and voted it into this group. Continue →

William Hurt joins "Damages"

William Hurt joins "Damages"

By Mike on June 17, 2008

I have no idea yet if Ted Danson is returning for a second season of Damages, but now that William Hurt has reportedly joined the cast, the villain torch may be passing to a new guy. Continue →

Hurt is currently the bad guy in The Incredible Hulk, and with his stellar acting abilities, I can’t think of a better choice to join the already brilliant cast of Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and Tate Donovan. Continue →

Top 15 television shows to watch on DVD this summer

By Mike on May 29, 2008

I’ve had this post planned for a very long time, and was going to do it during the writer’s strike, but it just never materialized. But now that summer is here, it’s time to pass on my vast knowledge of quality television that you may have missed out on over the years. Okay, maybe not vast, but I have watched my fair share of it. Continue →

So this is my list of the Top 15 Television Shows you should think of watching this summer. Those long, hot months get boring when there is nothing but reality TV on, and you might desire something good to watch. Continue →

Damages, Rescue Me back in 2009?

Damages, Rescue Me back in 2009?

By Mike on March 10, 2008

A quick blurb about two of my favorite cable shows, which both happen to be on FX. Damages, which got the go-ahead for a second season, is apparently rumored to not return until January, 2009. That’s a heck of a long ways off and starts to really make my summer viewing depressing. To make matters [...] Continue →

Damages renewed for two seasons

By Mike on November 13, 2007

One of the greatest seasons of TV that I’ve watched in awhile isn’t going away so quickly. Or at all. I wrote a few weeks back that Damages had been re-upped for sophomore season, but now FX has officially announced that they’ve ordered 26 more episodes of the critically acclaimed show, which amounts to two [...] Continue →

Damages coming back for second season!

By Mike on October 18, 2007

According to the Ausiello Report on TVGuide.com, Damages has been renewed for a 13-episode second season, the same number of episodes that will be shown this summer. Ratings have been pretty low, barely 4.9 million viewers a week, and only 2.9 million watch the show LIVE (who does that?), but the show has been critically [...] Continue →

Tivo Alert: Damages marathon

By Mike on October 10, 2007

I know, I’ve pimped Damages enough yet none of you watch it. Why not? Don’t any of you trust me? Have I ever steered you wrong? Now, if you say it’s because “There is no way we can watch as much TV as you do Mike”, then I get that. But if it’s because you [...] Continue →
