Michael Turner's death saddens the comic book world
He was battling cancer for awhile, but died at the very young age of 37. According to what I’ve read, Turner was an exceptional artist, having worked for both DC Comics and Marvel, with covers ranging from Superman/Batman, Civil War and Uncanny X-Men, to Witchblade and Fathom. Some say he was a big reason for Witchblade becoming a popular comic book series. Continue →

DC Comics' "Red" Getting Big Screen Adaptation
DC Comics has been taking a big back seat to Marvel in the recent past. Marvel has really hit a home run this summer with Iron Man and is poised to strike another blow with a rejuvenated Hulk franchise when The Incredible Hulk hits theaters tomorrow. DC isn’t sitting on their hands, though. They’ve just allowed Summit Entertainment to pick up the movie rights to WildStorm/DC Comics’ Red, which revolves around a former CIA agent. Continue →
