Guillermo del Toro’s ‘The Strain’ is on book shelves everywhere
I’ve never read a single book that Guillermo del Toro has written (of which there are very few), but this new book called The Strain may change all that.
It’s a vampire book. Nothing new there. But from the reviews I’ve read, the real unique aspect of it may be the “technical nature” in which it’s written. Almost like a Tom Clany novel with vampires?

Lord of the Rings writers join Del Toro on The Hobbit

Hellboy Overtakes Hancock At Box Office – No One Wants To Meet Dave
This weekend audiences weren’t content to just rest on their laurels while they waited for The Dark Knight to come out on July 18th. Instead, they substituted a pair of other comic book characters for the Caped Crusader and provided hefty box office for both Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Hancock.
Movie review: “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” (2008)
Ah yes, Hellboy, the demon superhero with the red Invulnerable Right Hand of Doom. Oh how I’d want one of those!
After a couple of disappointing efforts in Wanted and Hancock, I went into Hellboy II: The Golden Army looking for something surprising and fresh the week before The Dark Knight comes out and crushes the world as we know it.

Guillermo del Toro officially directing “The Hobbit” and sequel: Serkis, McKellen on board
While Guillermo del Toro has officially announced that he’s been chosen to direct The Hobbit and its sequel, I’m officially getting friggin’ excited about the future of the Lord of the Rings franchise.
First off, seeing The Hobbit on the big screen like the recent Lord of the Rings films is a dream come true. But [...]
Wolfgang Peterson Off “Ender’s Game” Adaptation
Anyone who’s delved much at all into science fiction books will have already heard of Orson Scott Card and his magnificent book, Ender’s Game. It was one of my early favorites. I think my sister used to read it like once a year. I never got really caught up in the sequels but that first book was everything that’s good about science fiction writing.
