If you are like me, then you are a fan of all things Harry Potter. I completely enjoyed the books, especially The Deathly Hallows, and have been amazed at how well the movies have been so far. I keep waiting for that shoe to drop, for one of these Harry Potter films to just absolutely suck, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.

After The Order of the Phoenix hit theaters last summer and we all finished reading The Deathly Hallows, it left us with only two movies to go before the series basically comes to an end. The Half-Blood Prince and of course, The Deathly Hallows.

Yet it’s not going to be only two movies. The subject matter and length of Hallows will result in it being split into two movies instead of stuffed into one.

The UK website, Mail On Sunday reports on this, basically stating that there is so much in the book and some very important confrontations that two movies is the only way to do it justice:

A film source said: “There’s so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves. There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on Voldemort that needs to be done really well.”

Even J.K. Rowling on her website said the same thing:

“It is simply impossible to incorporate every storyline into a film under four hours long.”

Considering how much money the entire franchise has made, I’m sure this was an easy choice to make. According to Yahoo Answers, each movie has made over $700 million worldwide.

I for one am glad to hear this news because the only way to close out the series correctly is to do the final book justice.

What about you? Good news or would you rather these movies just end already?
