Harry Potter Move Still Being Felt – More Movies Shift Release Dates
When Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince moved from November 21 of this year to summer of next year we knew that it would change the face of the fall release schedule. But I’m not sure anyone knew the ripple effects Harry Potter would leave in his wake. Almost the entire fall schedule has now been rearranged.
Bolt and Twilight Move To Harry Potter’s Vacated Date
The other studios wasted little time in mulling over Warner Bros. decision to movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from November 21 to July 17, 2009. Disney moved in quickly with it’s animated film, Bolt, while Summit Entertainment moved up the release of Twilight to go head to head with Disney on November 21. Now both films will be competing for the lucrative Thanksgiving Weekend.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Pushed Back To Summer 2009
Those of you counting the days until November when you can get another Harry Potter fix better break out the DVDs because Warner Bros. has announced they are pushing the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince back from November 21, 2008 to July 17, 2009.
The Dark Knight Puts IMAX In The Spotlight
Despite the fact that IMAX is a forty year old company, they have been but a minor player on the film exhibition market. The Toronto based company operates only 160 screens in North America, many of those being in institutional venues considered inadequate to meet the needs of commercial releases. They were only able to come up with 94 screens on which to premiere The Dark Knight. However, it is the success of The Dark Knight on those 94 screens that promises to change IMAX forever.

There’s not any actual footage from the movie in this trailer for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game, but the storyline of the game does follow the storyline of the film and the book so some of the elements you see in the preview are bound to be the same.
“Harry Potter” actor stabbed to death in London
Some sad news from the Harry Potter set. Actor Robert Knox, who plays Marcus Belby in the latest sequel, was stabbed to death outside a London bar over the weekend.
Belby is a Ravenclaw studen and appears in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, set to hit theaters later this year. Knox had also been signed on to appear in The Deathly Hallows as well.

Final Harry Potter Book Officially Split Into Two Movies
It seems that those rumors have now been confirmed. The LA Times is reporting that Warner Bros. will announce today today that they plan to split Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, J.K. Rowling’s seventh and final “Potterâ€Â? novel, into two films – one to be released in November 2010 and the second in May 2011.
