The Middleman recap: "The Palindrome Reversal Palindrome"

The Middleman recap: "The Palindrome Reversal Palindrome"

By Richard on September 1, 2008

Typical supervillain horsefeathers. Can’t wait to hear this guy’s monologue. ‘I am the palindrome. Feel my power. Power my feel. Palindrome the am I.’ Peter Piping weirdos. – The Middleman Continue →

The Middleman recap: "The Clotharian Contamination Protocol"

The Middleman recap: "The Clotharian Contamination Protocol"

By Richard on August 25, 2008

I’m so glad I got attacked by that tentacled ass monster back in the lab and that you framed me so that I’d have to be your sidekick. Because I am so proud to be a MM. I’m proud to know you. And I want you to know, that since my dad disappeared, you’re the [...] Continue →

The Middleman recap: "The Vampiric Puppet Lamentation"

The Middleman recap: "The Vampiric Puppet Lamentation"

By Richard on August 19, 2008

Young Noser will be rent limb from limb to save you!
You really can’t get much more literal than that, can you Middlefans?
Tonight’s episode of The Middleman finds Wendy Watson fighting to save Middleman, fighting to save Lacey, fighting to save Noser, and fighting puppets. Seems a bit of a let down that her big fight [...] Continue →

The Middleman recap: "The Obsolescent Cryogenic Meltdown"

The Middleman recap: "The Obsolescent Cryogenic Meltdown"

By Richard on August 11, 2008

Middleman 2008 is all about honor and duty and pride and sacrifice. He watches westerns and believes in true love. He drinks milk and eschews obscenities. He’s a throwback to a simpler time. But that’s not the job, that’s the man. So when Middleman 1969 – a suave and slimy Kevin Sorbo – is thawed out to face off against his arch-nemesis, there’s more than a little tension the Middleranks. Continue →

The Middleman recap: "The Ectoplasmic Panhellenic Investigation"

The Middleman recap: "The Ectoplasmic Panhellenic Investigation"

By Richard on August 5, 2008

Tonight sees the return of Tyler, Wendy Watson’s soulmate from “The Sino-Mexican Revelation”. He’s been getting some fuzzy memories back slowly, then received a paycheck for $14.73 from his 90 minutes working at The Booty Chest, the pirate-themed sports bar with the scantily-clad waitresses. He went by and found out he’d been flirting with a [...] Continue →

The Middleman recap: "The Cursed Tuba Contingency"

The Middleman recap: "The Cursed Tuba Contingency"

By Richard on July 29, 2008

Oom-pah oom-pah-pah, friends! Polka wouldn’t be polka without it. Neither would pep bands. In fact, I’d wager that of all the music in the world, a good .001% would be horrible without the basso profundo of the mighty tuba. What kind of tuba you say? Tenor? Four-valve? The tuba kind. Continue →

Middleman Recap: "The Boy-Band Superfan Interrogation"

Middleman Recap: "The Boy-Band Superfan Interrogation"

By Richard on July 21, 2008

Lacey wants to watch SMACC (Supremo-Destructo Martial Arts Combat Channel), because the martial arts are the most confrontational of all the arts. But she can’t adjust their satellite dish and comes back in when Wendy Watson sees fuzzy porn. Turns out, it was just Varsity Fanclub. Then Lacey demonstrates her fandom by dancing along with the five perpetually pubescent harmonizers. Continue →

Middleman Recap: "The Flying Fish Zombification"

Middleman Recap: "The Flying Fish Zombification"

By Richard on July 15, 2008

On the balcony to the illegal sublet Wendy shares with another young, photogenic artist, she and Lacey are preparing for Art Crawl, a semi-sporadical festival of the arts. Dubby’s talking on the phone with her moms and Lacey’s a bit jealous. See, her moms – Dr. Barbara Thornfield, M.D. Ph.D. – is the absent type. But Lacey’s got Dubby to prop her up and keep her sane. She can always count on Dubby. Continue →

Middleman Review: "The Sino-Mexican Revelation"

Middleman Review: "The Sino-Mexican Revelation"

By Richard on July 1, 2008

Wendy won’t get paid until she finishes her training and Lacey’s a confrontational spoken word performance artist whose last show had an audience of two. One of whom was Wendy’s mom. Things are rough in the illegal sublet Wendy shares with another young, photogenic artist. That’s why Lacey is starting a job at the Booty Chest, the pirate themed sports bar with scantily clad waitresses. Continue →

Middleman Review: "The Accidental Occidental Conception"

Middleman Review: "The Accidental Occidental Conception"

By Richard on June 24, 2008

Wendy Watson sure does have a lot of emo in this episode, too. It opens with our heroic sidekick bailing Lacey out of jail. Wendy makes smalltalk with the desk sergeant – as two battlers on the side of law and justice – while Lacey is brought out. She’d exposed herself in a sushi restaurant to open the eyes of the world to the dangers of high mercury levels. In frustration, Wendy calls Lacey’s protests “pointless pranks” and Lacey tells DubDub she has “no idea what it takes to save the world.” Continue →
