Third Poster for "The Happening" Is Warped

So they’ve released yet another movie poster for M. Night Shyamalan’s summer film, The Happening starring Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, John Leguizamo, Betty Buckley, Spencer Breslin, and Ashlyn Sanchez.

This poster is the third one so far and probably my least favorite. I’m not exactly sure what they were going for, but it mostly just makes me feel queasy. I think the first two posters are much more effective. What do you think?

International Poster for M. Night Shyamalan's "The Happening"

A new international movie poster for M. Night Shyamalan’s summer film, The Happening starring Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, John Leguizamo, Betty Buckley, Spencer Breslin, and Ashlyn Sanchez.

By now you may have seen the Red Band Trailer we put up that shows a little more of the gore factor. I think it actually looks like it could be good although early reviews haven’t been that great.

I really liked the first, American version of the poster for the film, but this international version has something going for it too. It’s maybe not as immediately eye catching, but all the bodies laying around our two heroes certainly brings the scare factor into play. What do you think?

New teaser: Pacino, De Niro back together for 'Righteous Kill'

I don’t know about any of you, but the scene from the movie Heat, in which Robert De Niro and Al Pacino pull over to have a conversation at a coffee shop, ranks up there with one of my favorite of all time.

There was power in that moment. Pacino the cop, after De Niro the criminal, and they just sit down to have a talk and let each other know where they stand. Man, that was awesome, simply awesome.

Well, I can’t think of a time when they’ve been together in a film since, but that’s ended now. On September 18th, 2008, they’ll find themselves on the same side of the law in the new crime drama, Righteous Kill.

Pacino plays Rooster, and De Niro plays Turk, both are veteran detective in New York City who are tracking down a serial killer who leaves poems as a marker at his kills.

You also get Brian Dennehy, Donnie Walberg, Carlo Gugino and John Leguizamo, which makes up a pretty decent supporting cast.

This looks like it could be great and perhaps bring these two back to the types of roles that made them awesome in the past.

ComingSoon.net has posted the very first look at writer and director M. Night Shymalan’s poster for his latest film.

“The Happening” is described as a paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, and John Leguizamo and is set to hit theaters on June 13, 2008 (which is a Friday the 13th).

I think the poster is equal parts creepy and cool. It kind of makes you think of alien invasion or something although I actually know what the premise of the story is. I’m hoping the movie turns out to be good. I’m really missing his kind of movies…well, the good ones anyway.
