Comic-Con: DC Universe Online looks awesome
Before heading out to Comic-Con, I was inundated with press releases about demos for new products that would be showcased in San Diego. One that really stood out to me was the upcoming DC Universe Online MMO from Sony Online Entertainment.
I was lucky enough to get creative director Chris Cao to show me how this amazing game will work. He is essentially in charge of what happens with the design of the game and therefore I got some good information.
“Crashdown” joins “Smallville” cast
My hopes run thin for next season’s Smallville, mostly because it’s steadily gone downhill in recent years, and now we’ll be treading a watery grave WITHOUT Lex Luthor and Lana Lang.
I can do without Lana anyday of the week, but losing two critical cast members cannot be good. Especially when one of them is Clark’s nemesis.
Graphic Novel review: “Superman/Batman Vol. 1: Public Enemies”
Superman and Batman have always been fascinating comic book characters for me. But it’s when they are together on those colorful pages that I really, REALLY enjoy their stories and adventures.
One of the first graphic novels I read and reviewed was The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, which had some epic scenes between the [...]
Smallville recap: “Descent”
Well, last night’s Smallville was a fantastic episode, so much so that it deserves its own little recap here on Pop Critics.
Spoilers abound as always in the recaps here, so beware!
Well, as we pretty much knew was going to happen, since spoilers for the show were everywhere, and even the CW’s own advertisements did nothing [...]
Smallville returns tonight, and season 8 news
Smallville returns tonight with a huge episode, the one where Lex Luthor will truly become evil. At least I hope so…it’s been seven years now, he needs to descend into depths of his black soul at some point.
Lex will also be getting some answers, according to Brian Peterson, an executive producer on the show:
“The rest [...]
Smallville returns to form, if only for one episode
Good episodes of the CW’s long-running Superman series, Smallville, seem few and far between these days. Things have gotten convoluted and progression along the Superman mythology path seems to be moving at a snail’s pace.
Smallville back for 8th season, without Lex or Lana
I’m a big Smallville fan. However, I will freely admit the last few seasons haven’t been as awesome as previous ones. This season in particular has lacked something, I’m not sure what exactly, but I do know the introduction of Kara Kent as the eventual Supergirl has sort of sucked. The actors on Smallville aren’t [...]
