I’ve never been tagged with a Meme before, so I had no clue what it was about. I investigated over at TheDailyMeme.com and found this handy definition:

In the context of web logs / ‘blogs / blogging and other kinds of personal web sites it’s some kind of list of questions that you saw somewhere else and you decided to answer the questions. Then someone else sees them and does them and so on and so on.

So Todd over at Success With Todd tags me with a My Media Week meme and thus I’m joining in on the fun. Here it is below with my answers to the three topics below: Books, TV and Music.

Books:

After finishing Replay a few weeks ago, I’ve been at a loss on what to read next, but I just picked up The Monsters of Templeton after I heard good things about it in a few different places, one of those being Entertainment Weekly. I’m also recommending once more Shutter Island to those who haven’t read it yet. Great book.

Oh, and while I’m recommending books, if you haven’t read The Road (Pulitzer prize winner by Cormac McCarthy) yet or The Ruins, you need to before the movies hit theaters this year.

TV:

This is a huge category here to talk about, especially for me doing this blog. I watch too much, some of which I take upon myself to make sure I am able to give out good opinions on things. However, this past week I really enjoyed the possible final episode of Friday Night Lights, and of course loved Lost once more.

I’m still giddy over Pardon the Interruption in the afternoons each day on ESPN and David Letterman has also been wonderful. And never forget At The Movies with Ebert and Roeper on Sunday nights.

I am also debating on whether or not Prison Break is like a drug that I’m addicted to and need to quit, or if I should have one last fix when the finale airs next Monday.

Music:

Today is my birthday so my gift from my wife was to replace my stock Toyota CD deck with a new Pioneer one that is made for iPods and allows you to control them from the deck itself. It also has an input for XM radio, which I got for Christmas. Let’s just say the XM signal is pretty crappy and it still sounds somewhat muffled despite using an auxiliary jack.

But I have to say, the deck is pretty slick and sounds amazing. I used to burn CDs for the truck just because they sounded better than an iPod over the FM transmitter, but now the iPod is CD-quality and I’m loving it.

I made a mix CD a few weeks ago and here are the songs that I’m just loving right now:

Shut Your Eyes – Shout out Louds

Sorry – Youth Group

Anyone Else But You – Michael Cera and Ellen Page from the Juno soundtrack

Read My Mind – The Killers

Middle of Nowhere – Hot Hot Heat

Silversun Pickups – Well Thought Out Twinkles

Speaking of birthdays, my wife made me a Mix CD for that with 11 songs on it to represent the fact that I’m 33 (it was part of a big three days of “11″), and she made some great choices, but I’m sure most of you will laugh at the selection of All 4 Love by Color Me Badd.

Yes, I admit, I used to love Color Me Badd back in my high school days and I’ve gotten a lot of crap for telling people that fact before, but now I just roll with it.

On a side note, as you get older, doesn’t it start feeling like high school never really happened? It was all some dream?

She also slapped a little UB40 on there with I Can’t Help Falling in Love because I kept trying to tell her back in 1993 that it was OUR song, even though I was really the only one who liked it. *grin*

Time to Tag

This is where I tag some of you guys to do the same thing and spread the wealth. Most will know that this is kind of a way to earn backlinks while having fun, so hopefully you guys enjoy doing this.
