With Pitt’s upcoming Curious Case of Benjamin Button and also this film, he seems posed to have a great year.

This new red band trailer for Burn After Reading just adds to the excitement I have for this movie. It looks hilarious, there are some fabulous actors in it and the plot looks great. Almost reminds of a Get Shorty-like film, although I think this might be much, much better.

It’s also funny to see George Clooney with Tilda Swinton here, after being total enemies in Michael Clayton.

The movie involves three actors who are a bit too full of themselves, so the director of the war film they are shooting decides to drop them off in the middle of the jungle to help them learn a little humility.

This trailer is of course the Red Band version, and it contains all kinds of R-rated material, so if you watch it at work, use some headphones or something.

The final scene in the trailer pretty much tells you what kind of comedy this is going to be.

So that’s why this past weekend’s episode got me excited for another upcoming Judd Apatow comedy: Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Roeper raved about it, saying that he was almost ready to make room for it in his Top 50 Comedies of all-time!

That’s pretty high praise coming from him. He said this stacks up with all of Apatow’s other classics, like Superbad, Knocked Up and Anchorman. Now, Apatow didn’t write this movie, that was done by Jason Segal, who stars as the guy who gets dumped by Kristen Bell.

Segal hails from one of Apatow’s early projects: Freaks and Geeks, a television series that only lasted one season, but was one of the best TV shows I’ve watched in a long time.

Michael Phillips guest hosted with Roeper and both agreed it’s definitely the funniest movie of the year so far (although I still think In Bruges will be tough to beat).

I was excited about this film when I first saw the trailer, but after the bust that was Drillbit Taylor, I figured Apatow’s success may have run it’s course. But apparently that was only a small speed bump on the way to another hit.

If you haven’t seen much about the film, watch the trailer below, but it’s a RED BAND version, so there are some pretty crude moments that are sort of NSFW.

Am I excited about this film? I’m really not, but I also haven’t heard much about it yet, no buzz or excited reviews, so it’s hard to know if it’s going to be worth checking out.

But if you love hard-core, action/crime movies, this looks like it will be right up your alley. The red band trailer below is NSFW, as there is F-word usage and lots of blood and gunshots. But it should give you a good idea of what to expect if you do see this movie.

Yikes. I cannot wait.

Red Band pretty much means NSFW in terms of language and violence, so watch it with care!

Not only do we get a seriously KILLER new poster for the film, but we also have a red band trailer which shows you just how scary and horrific this movie will be.

The poster is awesome. You see a scaled down version below, but even in that one the detail is pretty remarkable. You can obviously see a girl in agony with a vine crawling up towards her head from inside her body. Yowsers!

But clicking on the poster will reveal a high-resolution version and you can see even more detail in that. It’s pretty sweet. I really love all the little touches of red in it, because the cover of the book itself was adorned with creepy red flowers.

The trailer below is pretty awesome and has a lot more info in regards to the overall plot. I still have to point out that when I read the book, I felt like the Ruins themselves were a lot bigger. I thought there were portions of the story in which they didn’t know where someone went because they were down one side of the hill of ruins and out of sight.

Regardless, the trailer is sweet and this is going to be one scary ass movie.
