‘Smallville’ delivers in first half of season
It’s been a very, very long time since I’ve had anything positive to say about Smallville. Usually the last three seasons were peppered with only one or two solid episodes, while the rest were just below average writing and stories.
TV Talk: Thursday Night
Well that was the most I’ve laughed on a Thursday night so far this season.
The Office delivered much better in a normal, 30-minute format and it was a welcomed sight. The scenes with Jim timing Dwight with the stopwatch were among some of the best prank-pulling stunts ever. Jim talking to Andy about Battlestar Galactica [...]
Smallville Splits Season Into Two Parts
Yes, despite the mediocrity of the last few seasons, there are still Smallville fans out there and I’m definitely one of them. It’s one of those shows that you keep watching mostly because of all the time you’ve invested. And that idea of an ending which will make it worth the journey.
That ending seems like [...]
Mike’s Fall Preview – Thursdays
The preview I’ve been dreading all week. Thursday night. Depending on what you like, you could potentially require up to three DVRs to record everything.
Now, does anyone really do that? Actually yes, I believe there are people out there with three, four, even five DVRs with millions of hours of stuff taped that will last them an eternity.
And perhaps they are on to something. Especially when it comes to Thursdays. Let’s get started and not waste a precious second.
Smallville Adds Yet Another Villain
Smallville is like Prison Break for me: A bad habit that I in no way can get rid of because I have to see it through ’til the end.
So any news about it I reluctantly have to read and of course pass on to you guys, because I know there are more of you like me out there.
“Crashdown” joins “Smallville” cast
My hopes run thin for next season’s Smallville, mostly because it’s steadily gone downhill in recent years, and now we’ll be treading a watery grave WITHOUT Lex Luthor and Lana Lang.
I can do without Lana anyday of the week, but losing two critical cast members cannot be good. Especially when one of them is Clark’s nemesis.
“Smallville” finale thoughts and looking forward
The Smallville finale was last week and it was less than a desirable finish to the seventh season. In fact, if I hadn’t been invested in the series for so long now, I’m sure I’d just call it quits.
The best part is that one of the worst parts of the series, Lana Lang, is adios for awhile. At least, word is Kristin Kreuk will only make guest appearances next season. I applaud that move. The less Lana the better.
“Reaper” finale is tonight
I haven’t written much about Reaper lately, mostly because I stopped watching the show awhile back, which really was soley because of a DVR conflict that forced it to record in the bedroom.
And I really don’t like sitting in there watching TV.
But a few restless nights kept me awake so I started watching them again. Didn’t take me long to realize how much I’ve missed out on.
Lex Luthor definitely done with Smallville
While we’ve known it for awhile, the rumors are true now. Lex Luthor is leaving Smallville.
Michael Rosenbaum, who plays Lex on the CW’s Smallville, released a letter to the fans thanking them for their support over the many years the show has run.
Dear Smallville Fans,
Well, it’s been seven wonderful years. Your support is what has [...]
Happy Lost, The Office Day!
As I’m fond of doing for some weird reason, I like to wish everyone a Happy Lost Day now and then, especially when the show hasn’t been on for awhile. It’s back tonight!
I think it’s just because the show is so flippin’ awesome, it’s almost like a little holiday or festival around these parts.
And not [...]
