We’ve already posted a couple of trailers and a scene and some pictures and who knows what else for Pineapple Express (official site) so there’s really no reason to not post the teaser poster as well. Heck, we post every other poster we come across.

Pineapple Express is about lazy stoner Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) who has only one reason to visit his equally lazy dealer Saul Silver (James Franco): to purchase weed, specifically, a rare new strain called Pineapple Express. But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop (Rosie Perez) and the city’s most dangerous drug lord (Gary Cole), he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene. Dale now has another reason to visit Saul: to find out if the weed is so rare that it can be traced back to him. And it is. As Dale and Saul run for their lives, they quickly discover that they’re not suffering from weed-fueled paranoia; incredibly, the bad guys really are hot on their trail and trying to figure out the fastest way to kill them both.

Pineapple Express will be hitting theaters on August 8, 2008.

Eddie Murphy movies often confuse me. They don’t confuse me so much with their complicated plot devices, but more with the question of why Eddie Murphy decided to make the movie in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, Murphy has a lot of good movies. Well, some good movies. Then he has all the others.

This looks like it might be one of the others.

Meet Dave is about a crew of miniature aliens who operate a spaceship that has a human form (Murphy, I’m guessing). While trying to save their planet, the aliens encounter a new problem, as their ship becomes smitten with an Earth woman.

Weird. The IMDB synopis actually makes me feel better about the movie somehow. Maybe it won’t be that bad after all.

I’ll never learn, will I?

Meet Dave opens in theaters on July 11, 2008.

The poster for Ice Age 3 which is officially called Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs hit the net like a week or two ago. I was going to post it at the time but then I started thinking about what I was looking at and what I had seen in the other films. I was perplexed. Something is “off” with this concept. Oh yeah, I think it’s the fact that dinosaurs actually existed in a time before the events of the previous two films…

After much consideration, I have come to the conclusion that there are only four possibilities for this presumed error on the part of Fox/Blue Sky:

The writers of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs are no history experts. Hiring anyone who is an expert would have been costly and would have slowed production. Besides, dinosaurs sell tickets and toys.

Some sort of time travel device is used in the plot of the film. This seems unlikely as all the characters are animals…who do not possess technology…or opposable thumbs.

Science has it all wrong! The writers of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs sifted through the empirical date and figured out that the animals from the first two films coexisted with dinosaurs immediately following “the meltdown” of the last ice age.

Kids aren’t really that smart. They probably won’t even notice. Who cares if it screws with the minds of our children and teaches them things that couldn’t possibly be true?

At least the poster is pretty cool.
